National Express is an international group of companies which run bus, coach and rail services. Contract was with the IT section of this Group - National Express UK Limited. Budget - Between June and December 2012 my primary role was to rebuild the National Express UK divisions’ 11.5m budget, from the bottom up. A full analysis of the last two years financial transactions were completed, all IT contracts were collated, understood and logged. Rebuilt and modified company Activity-Based Costing Model Contract Manager – While compiling the above, gained extensive knowledge of contract management and became the only person within the IT Department who understood not only the connection between all contracts, but also all SLAs, contract boundaries and termination schedules. Licence Management – Became the primary concern. Started by auditing / identifying all boxed products, uploading data into FrontRange Licence Manager and ensuring all products are linked correctly. There were five top priority products – Adobe, Microsoft, Citrix, VMWare and Oracle. Procurement - Became primary contact role for managing all IT procurement requests throughout the five divisions. Receive call via RemedyForce, source quotations, raise purchase order request using eBis, acknowledge receipt of PO number, order items, update eBis and RemedyForce, assign call to 2nd Line support and good receipt in eBis. General PA duties for the Group CIO.
