Much has already been achieved with a number of creative installations, but the extensive archive relating to Croome is a huge asset which is invaluable in our interpretation of Croome's history.Individuals & small teams were asked to design and produce an exhibition that will display the building's extensive historic records in an imaginative way. The showcase will be confined to one moderately sized room within the property and is intended to encourage visitors to explore other areas of the estate.Winning the competition by a 2% margin was 'I Am Archive' created by Elena Thatcher, Ruth Hall and Max Jones a mix of theatre designers and architects.https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/croome/features/croomes-new-archive-room Show less

Two artists were commissioned to create original works to present select pieces from the collection in ways that are thought-provoking and respond to Croome’s spirit of ‘expect the unexpected’.Bouke de Vries’s ‘Golden Box’ and Will Datson’s ‘Chair Play’ installation give a new perspective on these fascinating objects, and the Treasures of Croome gives an in depth look at some of the beautiful furniture. Artist Will Datson has created an eye-catching artistic installation - an entanglement of chairs to capture imagination. Over 2.5 metres high, the piece is an innovative way of presenting these beautifully crafted items without erecting barriers. The additional seven chairs from the set will be displayed later in the year when the rest of the remaining collection returns. The 2 metre high 'Golden Box' installation entices you to walk through the reflective cube whose interior is encrusted with exquisite pieces of Meissen, Worcester and Sevres porcelain from Croome’s very important collection. Plates, terrines, vases and teapots adorn its walls and ceiling, allowing up close inspection in a highly unusual setting. Taking pride of place in the centre of the atmospheric Lord’s Dressing Room are the ‘Treasures of Croome’. Two beautifully crafted 18th century Adamesque commodes made by famous cabinet makers Maynew & Ince. In the Billiard Room, visitors are taken on a poetic journey introducing Croome & learning about the place’s beginnings to it’s modern day setting. My responsibilities included:· Working collaboratively across disciplines to find new ways of engaging audiences· Project management & delivery· Exhibition maintenance & problem solving· Project evaluation & handover Show less

Soul to SoleI have managed and delivered a large intricate installation where I individually co-ordinated 25 different artists who delivered 39 pieces of work for public display. During the project I successfully co-ordinated and liaised with a team in excess of 85 people. Soul to Sole is an intricate installation situated in the lower basement of Croome Court. Over the past year 25 creative practitioners have used their active imaginations to create a multi-disciplinary, multi-sensory approach to Croome’s fascinating history through the transformation and reinterpretation of a pair of shoes and the shoe rack in which it is presented. The installation presents 39 individual pieces using porcelain, textiles, ceramic, photography, film, mixed media, sound and digital technology. With decades of history, Croome still holds an echo of its former self and everyone who has ever lived there. From the 18th Century through to the 1980’s visitors will encounter a series of intricate installations which represent some of the lesser known characters to the household favourite's that have enriched the tapestry of Croome’s history. My responsibilities included:· Developing creative briefs in line with project aims· Commissioning artists· Working collaboratively across disciplines to find new ways of engaging audiences· Managing a team· Commissioning external contractors· Contracting artists, freelancers and external services· Developing new partnerships· Exhibition management & delivery· Exhibition maintenance & problem solving· Project evaluation & handover· Marketing and promotion Show less

I worked closely with contractors, builders, designers and liaised with the client team, Metropolitan Museum, Hive Archive, researchers and organisations across the globe to collect and present the story of Croome’s lost tapestries in a unique, accessible and engaging way. I managed the transformation of each room from being a visitor cafe, and a disused kitchen, which was unsafe for public access.Visitors are invited to explore two rooms on the ground floor of the house to find out about the Lost Tapestries of Croome. The first room which originally displayed the tapestries, now starkly empty, is presented as it would have looked when the tapestries were sold. The only decoration that remains to adorn the room is the only object from the old Tapestry Room still at Croome - a precious and extremely delicate Jug and Ewer stand which is a haunting reminder of how extravagant and beautiful the room once was. A room once admired by royalty and a trend setter of the 18th Century is a shell of her former glory. Moving into the next room, originally the Library, the story is told in full with a heart-warming conclusion to discover. In this room we begin to hint at the richness that the adjoining room once had. Printed panels of the tapestries illustrate the vibrant raspberry colour and some of the fine detail. The story has been broken down into five chapters on the walls that unpick the extraordinary journey of the Croome tapestries, from the Creation, Installation, Inspiration, Loss and Survival. Visitors are able to read, listen, watch and interact as they explore the journey of the tapestries making the exhibition a sensory and more memorable experience. Show less
