In April 2024 I joined Vidett as a Client Director, making the move from corporate consulting to become a professional trustee. As a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, I have nearly 25 years' experience of working with employers and trustees on a wide variety of pension issues in both the public and private sector. My experience is wide ranging, including:- Playing a significant role in two high profile cases: the rescue of the BHS pension schemes from the PPF and the Regulated Apportionment Arrangement (RAA) for Uniq Plc- Project management of a number of other pensions restructuring solutions, including a compromise arrangement - A secondment as Head of Risk and Compliance for the BT Pension Scheme- Leading client education sessions, including creating the PwC Virtual Ideas Exchange, a quarterly series of webinars for trustees, pension managers and other pension professionals (https://www.pwc.co.uk/pensions/insights/virtual-ideas-exchange.html)- Engagement management role for a number of corporates with £bn+ pension schemes, providing support on funding, set up of new DB schemes, closure of schemes to accrual, accounting, liability management, buy-in and buy-out and captive insurance solutions- Providing pensions accounting advice and auditing corporate pensions disclosures- Internal audit review lead for a large employer in the energy industry and a local government pension scheme- A year at the start of my career as a pensions administrator
