Ensure proper payment terms are applied to invoices and ensure timely invoice processing including accurate and complete GL coding. Work closely with Purchasing Buyers to resolve invoice mismatches. Complete month end close activities, ad-hoc accounting activities, and balance sheet reconciliations. Assist in Supplier Packets to maintain the vendor master file and to ensure correct banking information and W9/W8 information for new vendor setup and payment and for 1099's. Reverse and correct account distributions, initiate stop payments, and void checks as needed. Work closely with credit and collections relating to invoices. Improve processes and procedures for AR, AP, credit card processing, commissions, customer rebates, daily and weekly reports, month end activities, and balance sheet reconciliations to be more efficient and provide more accurate and valued information to the team. Apply good judgment, responsibility, initiative, and critical thinking skills to demonstrate good decision making to ensure financial reporting is accurate and does not misstate financial statements in a way that is either non-GAAP or otherwise lacks integrity.
