Researched asymptotic behavior of dynamic population systems with Dr. Ben Webb. Specifically worked to formalize and simplify the criteria for when Taylor's Law is observed in migrating populations.

Teaching assistant for a Computer Science course in Discrete Structures (BYU CS 236) with Dr. Mike Goodrich. Helped in the teaching of students and the development of their understanding of the principles of the course as well as grading and other administrative tasks. The course is an introduction to grammars and parsing; predicate and propositional logic; proof techniques; sets, functions, relations, relational data model; graphs and graph algorithms. It aims to prepare students to use mathematical structures to solve programming problems.

Worked on the development and integration of existing systems including Microsoft Navision Dynamics with Product Information Management built on the Pimcore platform and a Magento based website. Additionally managed a variety of web servers with both Red Hat and Debian based Linux distributions and facilitated new development deployment and maintained several git repositories.

Assisted in the Record Linking Lab with the development of tools to link families and individuals across records using genealogical research methods combined with the power of machine learning and statistical analysis.Designed and built a web app in JavaScript with a Firebase document-based database for indexing handwriting samples to create training data for handwriting recognition software and surname misspelling detection.

Worked in a variety of roles including System Administrator, Systems Analyst, Helpdesk Technician and Software Developer. Main projects included workstation setup, operating system management, Web Outlet database access with SQL, Microsoft Dynamics Navision compatibility with eBay, and server risk management analysis. Automated 50% of what I did in my previous role as AP Clerk.
