Originally hired in as Sr. Director of Product Marketing and was responsible for Product and Technical Marketing of Panzura's Cloud Storage Controller products. A greater need arose in overall Product Management for a Program Manager to aid in providing guidance and discipline to the overall Development organization and I have been filling that role for the last 18 months. I guess I finally have to fess up that I now work for EMC. Not a bad place to be after all; just never thought I would be here. But I have to admit that they have lots of good folks and lots of good products to provide customers with some pretty cool solutions to their storage problems. Still holding all my old roles (including being the SME for Oracle protection for Data Domain) but also spending time learning about all these new technologies with potential for solving customer issues. Fun!

Responsible for technical aspects of product marketing including technical papers, benchmarks, demo development, and HQ support for key major accounts. While I manage a small team of talented technical experts, my individual contribution has focused on Enterprise solutions typically involving large scale database deployments such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SAP, etc.

Early in at NetApp and held many positions in Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing. Last position involved managing a department responsible for creation of Marketing collateral (technical) such as benchmark reports, demos, new product introduction programs, etc. Also key in early sales to and service as well as one of two individuals that originally promoted NetApp into the database marketplace.

Wrote device drivers and file system utilities for first commercial version of Unix offered for and support on IBM-compatible mainframes. Other capacities included sales, support, and marketing along with training and on-site consulting.
