Together we are responsible for delivering SUEZ’s public sector growth strategy in the UK. We win and mobilise public sector contracts of all shapes and sizes. From quick-quote recycling contracts with terms of less than a year, to multi-million pound infrastructure development projects with terms of 15 years and over (and everything in-between). My role is to identify the appropriate public sector contracts that will complement our asset portfolio and financial targets. As well as ensuring that the team has the appropriate resources to deliver our medium term plan. This includes developing a bid pipeline and proactively engaging and steering potential clients before they come to market. I will typically support bids directly and I am routinely involved in the key commercial decision making and the board approval process. I still personally manage bid submissions when required, either due to the complexity of the tender or an unusually busy period in the market. I am also responsible for coaching junior members of the team. In this role, my responsibilities included: - Reporting into the Mobilisation Director, overseeing the overall mobilisation of the technical and operational elements of the contract- Managing a mobilisation team of 20+ specialists, including HR, transport, ICT, SHEQ, contract administration, training, communications, branding, procurement, works, general operations and more- Creating and delivering a mobilisation plan that captured all of SUEZ’s mobilisation tasks, including the essential handover tasks and contract improvements, by the promised dates- Ensuring the client is up-to-date with the progress of the mobilisation and working with their own mobilisation team to create and manage a process for identifying and mitigating the risks and issues that arose during the process. SUEZ successfully mobilised the operation on 1st June 2019.
