I made use of a public-domain scattering package and advanced computational resources to obtain accurate dynamical information on molecular collisions in the interstellar medium, focusing on those with salient applications in primordial star formation (He-HD and H2-HD collisions). Project included extensive use of Python and shell scripting to manage, process, and organize large strata of information.

-Developed a set of weatherproof radio ground station units capable of recording and analyzing patterns of radio frequency interference at relevant parts of the spectrum in the surrounding area.-Optimized the layout of electronics within the weatherproof casing and 3D-printed various mounting components to ensure safe and stable operation as necessary.-Analyzed RFI trends in the NASA Langley area and assisted with the development of system-wide safety protocols for RFI detection capabilities in unmanned aerial vehicles, specifically drones, to keep the command and control link alive.-Participated in drone flight testing, assisting professionals whenever possible as a junior Ground Station Control Operator.

-Engineered and prepared a UHF receive-only ground station system capable of downlinking critical mission data from the STF1 cube satellite. The design phase included software-defined radio programming and RF component circuit design, as well as drafting engineering block diagrams and documentation for the system’s goals and capabilities.-Integrated the completed ground station system into the 20-meter radio dish telescope on-site at the Green Bank Observatory, working in collaboration with facility technicians and specialists at the observatory’s machine shop.
