Cost Analysis: Searched out alternatives to upgrade existing equipment. Have done cost comparisons between buying and building equipment to determine the best approach for capital expenditures. Have done cost analysis of products to determine final sales price based on company pricing policy and the competition.

Have been in charge of all major production areas in full service professional imaging labs. Have set up procedures for efficient work flow, designed procedures for waste analysis and consequent reduction of overhead and waste. Coordinated employee relations to produce good working environments, implementing a team effort to produce the most efficient work force possible.

Have overcome numerous problems in the course of lab operation. Have a record of accomplishment in implementing creative solutions to difficult problems. Some examples are as follows:1. Established new departments to handle work which was previously outsourced, reducing overhead, improving quality and service.2. Instituted new procedures to reduce color balance drift and increase stability throughout the lab. This resulted in improved production speed, quality and reduced waste.3. Designed and implemented copyright systems on photographic printers, which provided the lab with improved internal quality control checks and provided customers with copyright information on the back of all prints.4. Designed new network for central server system, solving Y2K problems and providing redundant clustered systems virtually eliminating down time and assuring maximum system availability.5. Was instrumental in working with vendors of digital imaging systems, suggesting and helping to specify parameters and software changes which were incorporated into the vendors systems.6. Worked with consultant to solve third party software problems which allowed for use of legacy hardware driven by new computer systems.

Designed new information systems to create a centralized computer environment which integrated midrange DEC VAX clusters, Windows NT Server clusters, Windows 2000 Server clusters, multiple Windows workstations running Windows 95, 98, NT,2000 Pro, XP Pro, Unix networks and Macintosh; into a fast Ethernet network providing the best interoperability, and reducing throughput bottlenecks. Have implemented distributed software system which significantly reduces time to upgrade scattered workstations. Was instrumental in setting up outsourced team to provide both software and hardware support. Set up effective internal and off site backup procedures to meet needed insurance requirements and provide timely disaster recovery.

Have been responsible for implementing new workflows, training subordinates and management in their use. Training others includes such jobs as digital color correction, digital print production, use of OEM software, environmental quality control, and others. Teaching includes thirteen years as the Youth Director and Sunday School teacher at my church where Biblical principles were disseminated twice a week to an average of twenty five teens in grades nine through twelve.
