As soon as I turned 16 and was legally able to work, I began my search and within a few months had landed my first job: a taco shop. It was here I learned the importance of punctuality, how to be a team member and juggle multiple tasks in an efficient way. Nearly two years later I began working at the college I was attending as an administrative assistant and learned the intricacies of an office environment. I gained proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel. The third job I obtained is where I learned the most, as I worked my way up from part-time Sales Associate to full-time Store Manager. I adopted the people-work-for-people mentality and was successful in my roles.
