O@W is an organization whose mission is to rewire the labor force by hiring STARs, Skilled Through Alternative Routes, individuals who have the skills, but not the four-year degree. We work with talent developers, including community colleges and IT boot camps to connect STARs with employers looking to diversify their workforce.

Year Up is a national workforce development organization that prepares and empowers talented and motivated young adults, ages 18-24, with the technical skills, communication skills and soft skills they need to develop a sustainable professional career. Year Up is a one year program, with 6 months of classroom training in IT and Business Operations, followed by an intensive 6 month internship with one of our corporate partners including Sony, Kaiser Permanente, Live Nation and Warner Bros., among many others. Year Up is a proven business solution to a social need.

Initiate, strengthen and steward high-profile, multi-level corporate marketing and organizational partnerships. Create strategic alliances - both financial and in-kind, Institute and school-wide, across a wide range of industries.

In a newly-created position, I was responsible for identifying, soliciting and stewarding luxury brands for marketing and sponsorship opportunities. Liaised with Development, Marketing, Special Events and Public Relations, to demonstrate the power of the LA Opera to an affluent target market.

Established and launched a new Lifestyle Brands marketing practice where I served on the senior management leadership team. Grew business from the ground floor to nearly $1 million (IHOP, JDate, Jacuzzi) among other clients. Created and managed an award-winning cause marketing campaign for IHOP, resulting in the company's largest ever one-day promotional event.

Managed a multi-million dollar Consumer Brands practice sector; ensure fiscal profitability. Responsible for new business development and growth. Supervise team of eight professionals, and mentor junior staff. Client relationship manager for clients in the corporate and non-profit sectors, including Baskin-Robbins, Columbia Tri-Star Home Entertainment, DreamWorks Consumer Products, Pepsi-Cola, Daewoo Motor America, Jenny Craig International, UNICEF and the California Department of Health Services, among many others. Promoted from account executive to account supervisor to senior vice president.
