I am someone always looking for improvement, whether it's within myself, my life, or my job, I enjoy constantly asking the question, "How can I make this better?" I know my limits, I still enjoy little things in life and I see the best in every experience, but I do regular enjoy problem solving. I didn't always want to throw myself into the career of technology, I used to dream of becoming a singer, film maker, screenwriter, etc. I got my first job at McDonald's when I was 17, where I went from someone who had a lot of absences from school, called out because I thought I had better things to do, to someone who wanted to make the best out of a simple "first job." I made up a cleaning game during a shift where it was a scavenger hunt mixed with cleaning tasks, where the one with the most points got a free meal. I made a monthly competition for everyone's responsibilities, where the person with the most completions by the end of the month got a gift card. I strongly believe appreciation in the workplace goes a long way. I worked there for four years, long enough to understand some of the flaws with scheduling, people placement, training, etc. I created my first app/software idea, sketches on paper, but no way of understanding how to create such a project with such little knowledge of coding. I put the project aside for a few years to continue working paycheck to paycheck. One day it hit me I needed to make a step to go into a career where I wouldn't just thrive, but I would be happy. I'm blessed to have worked at the bottom of three widely different companies, because I believe that gives me the advantage of seeing possible improvements where no one thinks to look. I want to go into technology to make advances in the future, to better companies, to make a difference, and to help improve overall productivity.
