- Since Sept 2022: Team Leader for Portugal and Spain, leading and coaching a team of 5 people on the field (1 Portugal, 4 Spain).- Feb 2022 - Sept 2022: maternity leave coverage, assuming the Team Leader position for Portugal, Spain and Italy, leading and coaching a team of 7 people on the field (1 Portugal, 3 Spain, 3 Italy).- Since Feb 2021: working with 4 hospitals of Maastricht region (Netherlands).- Jan 2021 - Sept 2021: support European team in the execution of national educational events, approving the agenda, the best way to deliver the proposed content and budget. Co-responsible for the development of new educational materials for the project.Direct reports include teams in the field, in 3 countries, the global project website manager and emerging markets countries support on the project implementation.

Continuing in the same project, I assumed, in addition, the leadership of 2 cross-country projects (out of 4 in the team) with external collaborators.

In an international project, I was responsible for the project first implementation and development in Portugal territory, managing the project tools, all the Health Care Professional Portuguese teams, activities, and other stakeholders on the process, such as the different societies and other partners. I was able to sucessfully involve most of the hospitals, pre-hospital teams and ensure the implementation of the main key actions important for stroke care.

In a more translational perspective, the main aim is to construct a bridge between the clinical and scientific look towards the same pathology: asphyxia episodes in the premature or newborn babies.Cell Death and Disease Laboratory, under the supervision of Helena L.A. PhD in Neuroscience.One of the motivational quotes of this thesis was from Paracelsus (16th century) "The dose makes the poison". With a therapeuthical purpose, low doses of carbon monoxide (very well known for its toxicity) was studied in different brain models. It was discovered that low levels of carbon monoxide were protective and how did it confer this protection.The work performed generated 5 scientific papers. The elaborated PhD thesis won the award of Best ITQB PhD Thesis 2012, sponsored by Fundação Jacqueline Dias de Sousa.At Animal Cell Technology Unit and Cell Death and Disease Laboratory, under the supervision of Dr. Helena L.A. I've performed the first study on the protective effect of an agent normally known as toxic in low doses, carbon monoxide. The work performed generated 1 scientific paper.
