I am a self-starter with an enthusiastic personality, and do not like to be bored. I have enjoyed the variety in my IT career because I face new and exciting challenges every day. I love to have engaging conversations with stakeholders to identify issues, needs, and business processes. I enjoy being a part of a team to solve issues; by facilitating brainstorming sessions or pursue solutions individually. I look for solutions that best fit for the situation. I lean toward best code practices but will help find a quick solution to solve an immediate issue. I have spent much of my career digging into issues, analyzing data, business issues, bugs, and new IT solutions. A big part of the analysis is to create workflow diagrams, requirements documentation, and eventually training materials. I have led training presentations to a wide variety of audiences: large or small, technical expert or novice. I enjoy leading meetings and training sessions to present solutions. It is a joy to be a part of a solution which will enhance an end-user’s experience. Mentoring others is a favorite aspect of my role as an IT professional. I have been the manager of small IT development teams, and love to see a team member grow. To see a person, develop skills that they were not aware they could, or to encourage them to have confidence is what makes my heart sing.
