Development of plastic functional, decorative and safety components for steering wheels and airbag systems.Technologies: Injection moulding, coating (painting, chroming, carbon fibre, PVD), assembly (welding), moulds & control gauges.> Sourcing process: risk assessment, drive and approve technical reviews for feasibility from potential suppliers.> Project management: since award to supplier until start of production:- Plan project schedule - milestones, validation, timing and responsibilities.- Define and clarify project scope and objectives, identify and manage risks. - Lead in front of supplier to assure that project moves towards settled objectives, inform proactively all players about the status, set direction, assign work, coordinate activities, escalate critical deviations from planned schedule, performance or cost. - Control to assure that agreed milestones (APQP, FOT's, PPAP, SOP) are accomplished. Keep project on track, check progress, determine cause of deviations from the plan, take corrective actions, assure that product meets requirements. - Support ZF Purchasing and Engineering by identifying process improvement opportunities. Drive, manage and approve APQP/PPAP.- Assist in supplier sourcing and qualification processes, supplier on-site audits and evaluation.

- Follow, support and assess supplier processes and quality in order to grant Dorel: less assembly lines stoppages, scrap reduction, less returns of non compliant materials to suppliers (Lean tools: Visual Factory, PDCA, KPI's, 5S)- APQP and PPAP coordination and approval.- Manage supplier non-conformities (problem solving / root cause analysis: 8D’s, 5 Whys, Ishykawa) and recovery of non-quality costs.- Manage Dorel Plant incoming quality control.- Lead Plant supplier quality team.
