Currently coordinates and consolidates the company’s expense reduction initiatives, lead the transition process regarding the sale of the Maguary concentrated juice business to Empresa Brasileira de Bebidas e Alimentos and developed a financial modeling tool for income on sales aimed at expanding Kraft’s business activities in the North and Northeast of Brazil, justifying the approval of projected investments

Consolidated and restructured the Sales and Credit & Collections Controllership areas in Kraft Mexico, created the Financial Planning department adding financial intelligence to the sales area, prepared and implemented the pricing strategy of Kraft’s main brands in Mexico. Additionally, took care of all routines related to sales controllership area while supporting the business on a implementation of a new strategy.

Created two Sales and Supply Chain Controllership departments at Kraft Venezuela to support business growth in a sustainable manner through financial support, budget control and definition of processes. Built, trained and coached a new team with 19 members. Developed systems for controlling and managing sales resources (discounts and promotional budgets) and another for controlling and managing freight expenses. Created a financial management model for the Sales and Supply Chain areas taking into account the main financial KPIs of each area.

Led an area with 33 employees and reported directly to the CFO. Coordinated a profitability project for global chains that turned around a loss situation into positive results. Developed a financial performance analysis model according to distribution channel and client. Assisted the Sales Director in identifying and implementing a sales team restructuring process to reduce costs. Developed a new commercial policy for the sales area with rules and limits for using company resources. Led the financial area of Kraft Brazil’s Snacks Division and reported directly to the Division’s General Manager. Integrated the financial models of the recently acquired business (Nabisco) to the Kraft model. Established a mutual financial management model for the chocolate, biscuit and nut businesses. Coordinated the budget process for the Snacks Division and assisted the General Manager in consolidating the strategic plan. Presented the financial objectives to the top management in Brazil and abroad. Established a segment of actual results compared to previous year and budgeted. Prepared the capacity expansion project for cookies products in Brazil

Started out in the financial planning department as an analyst, having stayed until reaching the position of Manager in 1998, developing and consolidating all functions pertaining to the area, such as: financial modeling of income statements and balance sheets in local currency and US-GAAP; consolidated actual results; developed the profitability per product; conducted managerial analyses to explain variations between actual versus budgeted results and previous year; reported and justified financial results for Kraft (Latam region) furnishing details and information on the local business; controlled the budget for the company’s fixed expenses and investment projects; performed Post Investment Evaluation Reviews; coordinated the transition process involving the sale of the candy and chewing gum business; implemented financial planning processes at the recently acquired Lacta; consolidated the financial planning of Q-Refres-Ko and Lacta pursuant to Kraft standards; made presentations to the local top management and abroad and headed a team of 15 people, reporting to the Controller and subsequently to the Finance Director

Executed internal audits at the tobacco division (Philip Morris) and food division (Kibon) in the following areas: sales, purchasing, human resources, accounts payable, industrial costs, accounts receivable and marketing. Was responsible for validating physical inventory counts and asset sale auctions.

Started out as an archivist and was promoted three times in two years, having developed all routines pertaining to the accounting area, including accounting classification and booking, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable and translation of financial statements into US-GAAP
