Consolidated and restructured the Sales and Credit & Collections Controllership areas in Kraft Mexico, created the Financial Planning department adding financial intelligence to the sales area, prepared and implemented the pricing strategy of Kraft’s main brands in Mexico. Additionally, took care of all routines related to sales controllership area while supporting the business on a implementation of a new strategy.

Created two Sales and Supply Chain Controllership departments at Kraft Venezuela to support business growth in a sustainable manner through financial support, budget control and definition of processes. Built, trained and coached a new team with 19 members. Developed systems for controlling and managing sales resources (discounts and promotional budgets) and another for controlling and managing freight expenses. Created a financial management model for the Sales and Supply Chain areas taking into account the main financial KPIs of each area.

Started out in the financial planning department as an analyst, having stayed until reaching the position of Manager in 1998, developing and consolidating all functions pertaining to the area, such as: financial modeling of income statements and balance sheets in local currency and US-GAAP; consolidated actual results; developed the profitability per product; conducted managerial analyses to explain variations between actual versus budgeted results and previous year; reported and justified financial results for Kraft (Latam region) furnishing details and information on the local business; controlled the budget for the company’s fixed expenses and investment projects; performed Post Investment Evaluation Reviews; coordinated the transition process involving the sale of the candy and chewing gum business; implemented financial planning processes at the recently acquired Lacta; consolidated the financial planning of Q-Refres-Ko and Lacta pursuant to Kraft standards; made presentations to the local top management and abroad and headed a team of 15 people, reporting to the Controller and subsequently to the Finance Director

Executed internal audits at the tobacco division (Philip Morris) and food division (Kibon) in the following areas: sales, purchasing, human resources, accounts payable, industrial costs, accounts receivable and marketing.
