As a Diversity Program Specialist at the United States Patent & Trademark Office, I assist with DEIA related event logistics and administration. Also assist with the management of the Voluntary Employee Organizations (VEO) program, while also establishing relationships with said organizations. Act as a liaison between the USPTO Diversity Program and PTOWeb Team, to post articles and updates to the PTOWeb Calendar and Employee Organization’s portal. Have participated in the coordination and implementation of numerous committee meetings/outreach activities related with numerous heritage month celebrations. I also have over six years of experience in enforcing and promoting equal employment opportunity in the federal sector, including two years as a former federal investigator at the EEOC. I hold a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Counterterrorism from Southern New Hampshire University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Monroe College. I am passionate about fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, and empowering members of underrepresented groups. I also have skills in social networking, counselor training, and conflict resolution. I am fluent in English and Spanish, and a service-connected Marine Corps veteran.
