At the beginning of my sophomore year, I started working as a research assistant for a praying mantis robot. My project was mostly software focused; I improved the mantises sight by simulating binocular vision and had the robot hunt after an object based on its color. Using two Pixy cameras and ArbotiX - M controller I created a code that streams analog data directly to the neural system of the mantis. This is all thanks to the image recognition software that the Pixy cameras utilize.My first research paper, Binocular Vision Using Synthetic Nervous Systems, got showcased at a Living Machines Conference 2017 in San Francisco.Currently, I am preparing to start working on my master's thesis - constructing a neural network simulating the brain of a cockroach.

At Apple, I was a part of the robotic automation team. I was working on a rotating robotic fixture to simulate customer usage of devices and also creating CAD files from scratch and software in Python to support it.I presented a concept to several Apple VPs to win an internal "Shark-tank" - style contest against 94 other ideas and won first place in a team of two.

During my sophomore and junior year, I worked part-time at one of the largest maker spaces in the United States. I assisted users on daily basis, as well as, managed operations of all cutting edge prototyping and equipment in order to support research, entrepreneurship, and community projects.think[box] made me realize in how many different ways I can bring my ideas to life and connected me with alumni, investors as well as curious locals that enhance their lives with the little things.

In Summer and Fall 2017, I worked as a Software Engineering Co-op for Philips North America. I used .NET tools to automate build verification tests, which saved a good deal of time for the development process as new software changes are implemented. I accomplished this by writing algorithms that analyze data streamed from CT scanners to a local computer from which the verification tests are then performed efficiently.

During my time in the Eastern European laser valley, I got to work on a newly implemented LBDS (laser beam distribution system) and write detailed technical documentation on its day to day operation. This required talking to all physicists and engineers and making decisions about the operation of the laser system as well as participating in multiple firm meetings about its usage.
