My job was to generate revenue by providing our rental equipment for a price, or selling used equipment, or by offering the multiple services we provided. I covered north Birmingham, Al for about 10 months before my territory was changed. I was given the downtown area of Birmingham and stayed there for the duration of this job. I managed over 500 accounts, planned out each day weeks in advance, set up meetings, gave presentations, and always had a strategic goal in mind.

Birmingham, Alabama Area

My job was to find solutions for customers in the construction world. Each customer had a specific problem that could be alleviated by the equipment we rented or by a service we had. I had to know the construction equipment inside and out as well as what these machines were capable of doing. Not only did i provide solutions i had to know market rates of whatever machine was being rented, negotiating on price was something I did in this role 80-100 times a day. I was in this role for 2 years before being promoted to outside sales associate. In which i was responsible for a territory, and the accounts in that territory.

Tuscaloosa, Alabama Area

Sold sports equipment to high schools, middle schools, colleges, businesses, and any other team based activity that required uniforms, hats, equipment, etc. My job was to grow the business and maintain current accounts. This was not territory based, it was based on what kind of relationship you had with each school. I also did my own ordering from businesses such as Nike, Russel, Addidas, and other large companies. Because we were a small company I had to keep track of my orders and double check them myself and check for errors before they went to the customer. This was a huge learning experience for me and I enjoyed my time there.

Homewood, Alabama

Getting people to the athletic events was my main responsibility. To do this I marketed to the campus about upcoming sporting events by setting up signs, making table tents on Photoshop, emailing students, calling and emailing alumni, and by reaching out to surrounding businesses, schools, and churches to educate the community about Samford athletics. I was also the announcer for volleyball, softball and sometimes baseball. I organized special events to try and influence more attendance at each game, from free pizza to students to getting local sports teams to come to games. I also organized and scheduled birthday parties at athletic events as well as scheduling halftime shows for the Men's basketball team

Tuscaloosa, Alabama

I worked on the staff of 3 separate national championship teams. During that time, we were responsible for all equipment used during practice as well as games. Kept constant inventory of millions of dollars worth of Alabama equipment. I was responsible for clothing the 130 man roster with multiple articles of clothing as well as the 200 + staff that work for the university’s football team. I was responsible for loading and unloading trucks, setting up drills, as well as participating in drills, and all players and coaches laundry.I also participated in mandatory maintenance of building and equipment area every day.
