Clay has been involved in the financial services industry since 1995 starting at Memphis based Union Planters National Bank. After working as a Senior Consultant for Ernst & Young, LLP in Nashville and Memphis auditing banks, brokerage firms, and insurance companies, he came to Vining Sparks in 1999. In 2022, Clay joined Stifel Financial after they acquired Vining Sparks. Clay serves institutional clients nationwide by assisting them in all aspects of fixed income portfolio and balance sheet management. Clients have included banks, credit unions, insurance companies, investment advisors, corporations, and government agencies.Clay is a graduate of the University of Tennessee (BS, MAcc), a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a member of the American Institute of CPA's and Tennessee Society of CPA's. He has completed the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) licensing and registration programs Series 7 and Series 63.
