About Clea Stone Monsurate

I have always been fascinated by people, especially our relationship with technology. For my college thesis, I produced a documentary video installation about Death on Facebook. Today, I get to spend my days uncovering insights about human behavior that help solve business problems and drive innovation in diverse industries all over the world, for clients such as Google, Netflix, Meta, PepsiCo, and Brown–Forman, in markets such as Canada, the U.S., Japan, India, and Brazil.

This involved overseeing the designer and the developers (and constantly solving conflicts between them!), making design and UI decisions, getting 20 brands on board to sell their products through the website, learning the Magento ecommerce platform, getting 600 products on the site (product descriptions, product images), writing all the website copy, and marketing the launch. This project felt like my baby!2 )I was in charge of developing and managing the domestic wholesale accounts. I reorganized the whole system of tracking sales and stock and created a system for obtaining new accounts (email template with link to sales pitch presentation and product catalog as well as follow up time table). In six months, I increased the sales from domestic stockists by 200%. 3) I increased exposure to the western market by developing international retail partnerships in Germany, the Netherlands, and Australia. Outright buying by international retailers accounted for approximately 20% of sales for 2013.
