Undertook a review of good practice in integrating humanitarian and development polices, programmes and financing for nutrition in Fragile and Conflict Affected States and a remote case study on the humanitarian-development nexus for nutrition in Yemen.

At the request of the Scaling up Nutrition (SUN) Movement Donor Network, led a three person team of consultants undertaking a review of donor perceptions on how best to support SUN Movement countries to accelerate progress on nutrition, with a particular focus on SUN structures at global and national levels.

Managed the food distribution programme to almost 200,000 people (distribution and monitoring). Participated in the design of inter-agency food aid phasedown strategy, participated in the design of the UNMIK Social Assistance Scheme. Designed the methodology for monitoring the impact of this Scheme. Designed and acquired funding for a project to build the capacity of the Institute of Social Policy and commenced the implementation of the project.

Participated in the development of an Integrated Technical Strategy for the AAH Network. Produced internal guidelines on food security assessments and nutrition causal analysis.

Visited India and Nepal in order to conduct workshops on social research methods and to identify projects for collaborative research. Developed research protocols for projects to evaluate the effectiveness of disability intervention programmes and to identify criteria of best practice. Organised a module on social and economic development for CICH Masters students, presented lectures and led discussions on theories of social and economic development. Supervised the study of two short-term students from SCF's disability projects in Nepal.

Responsible for initiating, implementing and documenting a research project for the NHS Executive investigating the training and development needs of bilingual support workers in the NHS. Designed and utilised a range of social research methods to conduct job and training needs analyses and made recommendations for the development of nationally recognised training and career structures. Involved in the planning of a CBR project in Pakistan and the implementation of research aimed at monitoring the development of the project. Assisted in a pilot study to assess the effectiveness of using school children to identify non-school attending disabled children during a two week visit to Pakistan. Led tutorials for Masters students on qualitative research methods.
