Chris Cameron is a naturalist, consultant and educator who helps people discover this amazing world. A student of science with a degree in theology, Chris has been a pastor, a naturalist, and a consultant to the CA Dept of Ed. He loves teaching the UC California Naturalist program and speaking for Road Scholar. Most recently, he was the Executive Director of Camp Ocean Pines in Cambria, CA. As a birder and a master falconer, Chris encourages hands-on experiences while integrating a variety of perspectives. He has led thousands of kids on nature adventures and re-ignited the "nature" spark in hundreds of adults as certified CA Naturalists! Chris is the Board Chair of the Morro Bay Winter Bird Festival, a very popular annual eco-tourism activity with 260 workshops to serve over 1,000 participants. With a demonstrated history of creative leadership in education, camp, and eco-tourism industries, Chris has been called on to help organizations find and train new leadership, develop new aspects of business, and build strong teams. Retired, but still active as an instructor and consultant, Chris spends his free time grandparenting, gardening, baking bread, bird watching, practicing falconry, raising animals, wood working, and exploring primitive technology.
