Working under the legendary Kevin Weule this was a combination of job and learning experience. No one in my experience knew the car market better than Kevin and to watch him value in a few minutes a line of diverse models on a used car lot was magical. I learned about flood damage and difficult divorces, clambering through overgrown backyards valuing.

The first insurance business we truly built from the ground up. In conjunction with several colleagues who are now involved in our current venture, Enthusiast Underwriting, we applied a unique business model to the confusing world of motor vehicle insurance. Radically, we employed people who knew and understood cars and built relationships with clients on.

My mother described it as "getting paid to drive around in other people's cars" and that pretty much was what I did. Main responsibilties were media contact and arranging new model launches, production of media releases and promotional videos for National and local dealer events. I was also involved in running Subaru's Australian Rally Championship.
