Founded over 50 years ago, NSPJ has a robust portfolio of residential and commercial projects that can be seen throughout the Kansas City metro and across the country. I lead an incredibly bright and talented staff whose dedication and excellent problem-solving skills elevate my ability to broaden our portfolio of project types. I currently focus on historic renovations and adaptive reuse, nationwide retail roll-out, multi-unit residential buildings, and single-family residential homes. In every project, I enjoy getting to know the client personally so that both NSPJ and I can best serve their needs. With the numerous projects delivered to date, I continue to build on a wealth of past project experience to anticipate potential problems and address them early in the production process. This includes not only construction issues, but also code-related issues based on my experience working in jurisdictions nationwide.Some of my recent projects include the Power & Light Apartments, Centropolis on Grand, Congress Lofts, and Sky on Main. NSPJ is also the nationwide prototype architect for CenturyLink retail stores, as well as an approved architectural vendor for both Amazing Lash and Massage Heights, with several locations completed to dateI also spearhead firm recruitment and hiring. All candidate resumes are reviewed by me first, and I determine which candidates will advance. I participate in all candidate interviews and, with my co-president, make all hiring decisions.

Klover Architects specializes in retail and restaurant markets. As Client Manager, I designed and implemented physical spaces that followed corporate clients’ brand strategies and could be site-adapted across the country and the world. Specificity and attention to detail were crucial, as was the ability to work successfully with client representatives at various corporate levels and in different countries. While at Klover, I oversaw the design and construction of over 500 retail locations, including 20 locations for Borders Bookstore, and over 450 locations for Panda Express, the largest fast casual Chinese restaurant in the United States.
