My current role with BCD Meetings and Events is Senior Compliance Manager. Day-to-day, I work to review and report financial and statistical data from meetings planned by BCD Meetings and Events. I am a subject matter expert for my team, and I train incoming new hires in compliance--its function and processes. My prior role as a Compliance Specialist was similar to my current work, though more granular in its analysis and review of field data.At North Carolina State University, I studied language, rhetoric, and technical communication, where I developed an understanding of manual-design and usability testing for these types of documentation. During my senior year, I spent a semester analyzing the online interactions of users, studying the flow of user-generated instructional materials in forum and wiki environments.I have a passion for music, writing, gaming, and fitness. I write fiction in my free time and enjoy video games of all genres on many platforms. I am a PC hardware enthusiast, having built my own high-end computer, and admittedly, I read just about every piece of tech journalism I can get my hands on. I also go to this place called a gym, so I can lift heavy things and put them back down where I found them.
