Taught 3rd Grade, Self-Contained ClassroomMorning Broadcast Sponsor 2006-2013- Met with 5th and 6th grade students every morning at 7:30 to assist and train our daily live morning announcements. Chess Club 2010- 2013- help organize and facilitate a 1st- 6th grade after school chess program. Launchpad Classroom Recipient 2012- The LaunchPad Classroom was designed to facilitate Project Based Learning (PBL) so that students gained knowledge through asking questions, researching real-world problems, and working as a team to complete standards-focused projects that represented their learning. The focus of this PBL classroom was on the comprehension of concepts and the development of complex problem solving skills rather than that acquisition of knowledge of facts. In this classroom, students had access to a dedicated class set of iPads.
