I was a Microsoft MVP from 2011 - 2019 (eight years in the program) awarded in the area of Exchange Server under MVP ID 4030584 (one of three in Australia). During this time I had an absolute blast, met some of the smartest people both fellow MVPs and Microsoft employees, made relationships with some key members on the Microsoft product teams and life long friends/associates. During my time in the program I attended the yearly MVP summit in Seattle (Redmond) and an MVP Summit in Hybrabad India which was an amazing experience.The Microsoft MVP program gave me a great understanding of how the product teams come together at Microsoft to develop the software we love today, as well as a platform to provide a voice to provide my technical insight into features/functionality being developed into the products at Microsoft. All Microsoft MVPs are under NDA by Microsoft being exposed to confidential information around product development prior to release.I was absolutely stoked being awarded a Microsoft MVP in Exchange Server eight years in a row and having moved on from this program and reduced the amount of blog posts I release, I have nothing for respect for people in the Microsoft MVP program. Microsoft MVPs report bugs to Microsoft, Write detailed in-depth blogs on how to use Microsoft technologies, Speak at conferences, contribute valued feedback to the product teams through regular PGI meetings, but most importantly, they make Technology better for the rest of us.

I started 4Logic in 2011 alongside three other IT consultants each of us holding equal private shares in the business. During my time at 4Logic I worked extremely hard in building the business up from nothing and worked on some great projects as the primary on the ground engineer.- Multiple Exchange 2010 design and implementation projects ranging from single server to multi-site clustered Exchange 2010 clusters supporting thousands of users, multiple DAG's and CAS Arrays.- Hybrid Exchange 2010 implementation's with Office 365 allowing seemless co-existance between on-premises and the cloud ranging up to 5,000 users.- Active Directory architecture design, multi forest and multi domain.- Produce commercial contracts and proposals for managed services and project implementation works.Produce detailed design documentation and As-Builts.- Oversee, mentor and train our first few employees that we took on after starting the company.

I have been maintaining 4PlayGames Internet café's for a while as a project outside of my primary job. I built their entire network and recently setup a new store in Dunsborough. They have two Debian servers running DNS, DHCP, Squid proxy, OpenVPN and IP Tables for all their routing at each shop, with load balanced ADSL for redundancy. I maintain both shops remotely using SSH tunnels, and only visit the shops once in a blue moon to replace failed hardware. PC’s are imaged using Symantec ghost network broadcasting, and run on first boot logon script I made sets all the CD keys and the PC name. I love working for 4PlayGames because it keeps me in touch with Linux, seeming I work in a Microsoft environment all day ever day.

- Design a new forest with empty root domain and child resource + account domain.- Created strategy for migrating 2 forests with 7 domains to the new child resource + account domain in the new forest using a combination of the Prepare-MoveRequest.ps1 Exchange 2010 script and ADMT v3.2.- Designed OU structure, AD sites and services topology, domain topology, access delegation and security policies.- Designed highly available Exchange 2010 clustered environment to support 3500 users.- Provided professional recommendations around SQL provisioning and highlighted configuration problems and issues with current designs.- Configured all active dirctory domains to perform one way synchronization to an AD LDS database using ADAMSync for an external application. I used userProxy class objects to proxy authentication requests to the domain controllers.

Contracted myself to Datacom for a series of projects. I performed the following tasks at Datacom:- Setup Black Berry Enterprise Server in Datacom's cloud environment.- Configured OCS in Datacom's cloud environment only for instant messaging and presence.- Configured a shared sharepoint environment for cloud customers.- Deployed an SBS server for one of Datacom's clients.- Acted as a senior escalation point on MS related issues to a select number of Datacom employees.

formally ComputerCORP. At Synergy I have implemented multiple Exchange 2010 projects, with clustered Database Availability Group back ends and Client Access Array front ends. I also have spent time improving my public speaking skills appearing at Microsoft seminars, providing IT Professionals and IT Managers an insight into many of Microsoft's core products from both a technical and marketing standpoint. Learning the public speaking side, I have to say was a challenge at first coming from a propeller head technical project delivery background.

During my time at ComputerCORP I took on the role as a senior Microsoft specialist acting as an escalation point for other engineers. I worked on a number of projects both architectural and engineering such as active directory logical topology design, public key infrastructure and radius implementations for roaming wireless hotspots with WPA2 EAP-TSL authentication, exchange 2007 enterprise implementations, and domain over hall and rebuild projects.ComputerCORP merged with Synergy Plus changing their name.

L7 employed me as a Systems Engineer in their Integrations department. I worked on a number of projects remotely setting up active directory and exchange infrastructures as well as migration of existing infrastructures using tools such as the Active Directory Migration Tool. I also used Identity Integration Server for cross-forest exchange 2003 for one of my projects which was a fantastic learning curve. I finished up with L7 due to lack of projects coming through their pipeline, however they were a great company and I had a fantastic time working for them.

I worked full time for CITIC Pacific Mining contracted through L7 solutions. My main roll there was to look after their clustered exchange 2007 environment as their enterprise messaging administrator, as well as perform regular maintenance tasks and break fixing on servers. I also did a bit of Integration remotely setting up their Changsha branch office and their DC’s up at the Cape Preston mine site.

I worked providing IT Support for the CSIRO of Australia on a contract through HAYS Information Technology in Adelaide. CSIRO had a 10,000+ user single Active Directory domain linked to the government backbone, with multiple domain controllers, exchange servers and file servers throughout Australia.During my time with the CSIRO I provide technical support in person, via telephone, email and Terminal Services.

Accord Technologies is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner that specializes in managed IT Solutions for a wide variety of clients. Through Accord I worked as a Systems Engineer deploying and maintaining Active Directory infrastructures for my assigned clients. These networks’s ranged in size from small offices to multi-site Windows domains across the state and country, as well as internationally.Through Accord I dealt with a diverse scale of custom in-house applications most of which used a MSSQL/MYSQL or Microsoft Jet OLEDB 4.0 backend giving me experience and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with all types of database programs.During my time at Accord I also carried out Information System Audits and wrote technical documentation such as Disaster Recovery Plans and IT Security Policies and Procedures for my assigned clients.
