I lead a team of engineers, chemists, and technicians to conduct both catalyst testing at our facility in Alabama along with conducting field jobs such as AIG tuning and air flow testing at power plants around the United States.While in ICT's testing facility my team and I would write proposals, conduct both routine and experimental catalyst testing, put together reports for our customers, and offer advice on catalyst management and testing. I also trained new personnel, oversaw and conducted facility maintenance, and implemented improvement projects to help reduce costs and make the facility more self-sufficient.While in the field, I would interface directly with our customers to determine the conditions for all testing and tuning, perform the testing and tuning services, then produce reports to ensure the client had a full scope of the work conducted.

As a lab technician I would operate and maintain polymerase chain reaction equipment, analyze the results and report my findings to client facilities. I had to work quickly and with a high level of attention to detail in order to provide accurate results while maintaining a good relationship with the client. As a manager I trained new employees, wrote SOPs, and provided feedback to my team members.

As a PASS leader I facilitated group tutoring sessions for calculus and maintained logs of both attendance and my session plans. As a mentor I directed weekly meetings to prioritize material coverage and provided training to the less experienced employees.

I was tasked with designing a sensor to detect hydrocarbons. To accomplish this goal I researched electrospinning polymerization and formaldehyde reaction chemistry, selected my materials and created a design of experiments to find the best method to process them, analyzed the product properties using contact angles and SEM imaging, and conducted testing to produce a calibration curve. This project culminated with a presentation at the national American Institute of Chemical Engineers' conference where I took first place for my poster presentation.

For this position, my role was to synthesize nano-catalysts and use them for catalytic ozonation in water purification. Once I ran the tests, I analyzed the water samples with mass spectroscopy and high performance liquid chromatography to determine how effective the purification process was and to see if the catalysts I had produced leached into the system. I organized and produced graphs of all data using Excel and LaTeX.
