Description• Lead a group of wire technicians, assemblers, electro-mechanical technicians and buffer• Interview and hire department employees• Complete annual employee reviews• Organize daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly workflow using ERP scheduling • Review Manufacturing Request (MR) form, customer Scope of Work (SOW), process plans, specifications, procedures, and policies to safely and efficiently complete tasks• Collaborate with other departments to help efficiently coordinate product and information flow• Implement organizational cleaning charts to promote work area cleanliness & efficiency• Implement a Microsoft OneNote system to keep employees up to date on job progress and changes to the Scope of Work• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers in the design of products• Assist in the redesign of products for standardization to reduce inventory and production time• Facilitate employee growth through training opportunities, initiation of new departmental rolls and tiers, and mentoring• Train staff in CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) for work on ITAR and MIL-AERO jobs• Coordinate staff IPC certification training sessions • Participate in continuous improvement processes including involvement in Kaizen events• SCRUM Techniques
