I manage all aspects of the infrastructure and environment for our 500 students and staff, from research and budgeting to final post implementation review.I built a support system to track and manage jobs with multiple ways to contact me to enable me to provide remote support when I am not on site.I setup LibreNMS to monitor and notify critical staff about system issues. This is done with various levels of importance using difference types of communication. This means that I have usually started investigating problems before people start to ring and im able to give estimates of resolution timeframes and impact and suggest workarounds during the call.I have built custom dashboards using Grafana for that single pane of glass insight for leadership and management for get instant health status of our infrastructure.

I manage all aspects of the infrastructure and environment for our 500 students and staff, from research and budgeting to final post implementation review.I identified our computing needs could be met without an asset refresh and leveraged my professional network to identify organisations which would consider donation, and implemented enough redundancy to offset the risk of no warranty, this saved us around $15,000 per year.I discovered a security vulnerability that affected a large percentage of similar sites servers, I worked with the Department for Educations security team to demonstrate the problem, show how widespread it was and gave them the recommended solution from the vendor.

One on One training for students for their license from P plates to MR test.I created and managed a website and booking system. The booking system and associated cost analysis of training offerings allowed the business to concentrate on the highest margin training types to maximise income.

This saved me 3 hours 4 days a week. This allowed me time improve other areas such as building an automation pipeline for journalists photos that modified them for use in print media saving 20-30 minutes each time they came back to the office to put them in the system

I built a virtual infrastructure with vmware to replace the existing out of date physical servers. This included daily/weekly/perpetual snapshot backups and hourly shadow copies during business hours on the file server.
