Serves as the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence Aviation Branch Master Door Gunner NCOIC; responsible for the standardization, supervision, and implementation of the U.S. Army's Aerial Door Gunnery program, training of master gunners. Army weapons system SME for the M240H machine gun and the Non-Rated Crew Member Manned Module (NCM3) simulator; capable of training door gunner and non-rated crew member tasks. Army technical SME for aerial gunnery in support of PEO-Simulations, Training and Instrumentation (PEO-STRI), TRADOC Capabilities Manager and the Joint Attack Munitions (JAMS) office.

Responsible for the readiness and training of Non-Rated Crew Members (NCM) and Door Gunners assigned to the unit. Primary trainer and evaluator for Flight Instructors and other Standardization Instructors. Serves as the principal advisor for the command team for aviation standardization issues for NCMs. Serves with the Aviation Master Gunner in administration of the aerial gunnery program.

Performs and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components. Services and lubricates aircraft and subsystems. Prepares aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks. Performs scheduled inspections and assists in performing special inspections. Performs limited maintenance operational checks and assists in diagnosing and troubleshooting aircraft subsystems using special tools and equipment as required. Prepares forms and records related to aircraft maintenance.
