SERGEANT, E-5 - Completed 4+ years enlistment with the U.S. Army. Gained personnel management skills, safety courses, and leadership development classes. Participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom 07-09. Was a team and squad leader of up to 12 soldiers. An active participant in the training, support, and guidance of several personnel as well as several company sized units preparing to deploy to Iraq and Afghanistan. A successful record for managing complex organizations, supervising dozens of personnel through several line-management personnel, responsible for millions of dollars in operational assets.Specific duties and achievements include but are not limited to:Management:Emphasis team building, and time management as well as possessing strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Team leader of up to 4 personnel and squad leader of up to 12 personnel with equipment including weapon systems, personal protective gear, and horizontal construction equipment. Responsible for several millions of dollars worth of vehicles and equipment as well as electronic warfare equipment, communications equipment, and weapon systems. These systems were highly instrumental in the success of the OIF 5 as well as the reduction of hundreds of roadside bombs.Operations & Logistics:Was responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of weapons arms room including all personnel and platoon sized battle operations, planning, and support. Instrumental in the organization and cooperation of company sized operations and battalion sized operations. Responsible for the distribution of sensitive information from battalion level down to platoons on-ground. Training & Development:Military: Trained on several military communication systems and electronic warfare counter measure systems. Have attended several classes on professional and leadership development as well as classes on personnel evaluation techniques: monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
