Responsible for all manufacturing output of automotive lighting systems supplying Aston Martin, McLaren, JLR, Evobus (MB-Daimler) and OEM systems. Managing 52 people with a scope of responsibilities include Injection moulding production, assembly, facilities maintenance, tool room, stores (including goods in & out). Working to manufacturing & quality standards ISO14001:2004, ISO 9001:2008 & ISO/TS16949:2009. Managing machine maintenance PPM & site facilities including water tower maintenance.

I managed a team of 15 multi-disciplinary Engineering staff and specialist contactors across a 24/7 operation.Responsible for Engineering planning for the site to meet the medium & long-term engineering requirements to support manufacturing demands. The role was to maximise plant availability including the application & adherence of Maintenance management systems and condition based monitoring schedules in delivering these plans. A ‘hands on’ role to ensure the effective application of engineering; materials, people with an engineering budget of £850,000. When required working with the team on breakdowns & improvements with practical support to ensure an effective & timely resolution. Compliance testing & certification completed within the required schedules to meet Health & Safety to meet OSHAS 18001 requirements, including Risk assessments, PUWER, SOP's. Managing CMMS schedules & condition based monitoring. RCA of plant failures and delivery of improvements to plant , processes & facilities.

Management of 12 manufacturing units, encompassing 3 flour milling units, 3 sack packing lines, & co-product processes. Management of 40 operators including team leaders across the site. Ensuring customer supply chain demands and operational KPI’s are met in a Safe & timely manner. Ensuring all PUWER & task Risk Assessments were in place relative to the processes, working within the frame works of OSHAS 18001 & ISO, 14001.Compliance to BRC, customer audit requirements & FEMAS. Responsible for HR activity for the team covering performance reviews, objective setting & recruitment. As a member of the senior leadership team we developed a site improvement plan to meet the company’s strategic objectives, for developing process & people for growth.Managing and delivering CAPEX projects for the site.Twice during this role I was also responsible for site engineering activity for periods of six & eight months in a dual role, to ensure effective use of Engineering resources & site compliance

Daily management of a team of 15 operators to the required standard, including, CCP’s, area standards and H&S requirements. Monitoring plant performance and making improvements to ensure demand KPI’s and customer orders were met. Identify and implementing process improvements for improved performance & quality standards across a 24/7 operation. Completing 1-2-1 reviews to identify development needs for the team and objective setting.

Shift management of a team of operartors Milling Flour to the required specification ensuring all performance KPI's were met. Monitoring of CCP's to ensure food safety. Completion of NABIM advanced milling diploma.

Meeting the demands of both the engineering & manufacturing functions as engineering support as in a supporting breakdowns working with the wider engineering team. These duties included steam supply (running & maintaining 2x 1t oil-fired boilers) and condition monitoring of milling plant with RCA and corrective action planning.
