I am a commercial lawyer who represents small business owners, commercial marine operators and primary producers in North Queensland. I have a broad range of contacts in Queensland to facilitate my client activities in these sectors. The work I preform includes; recording structure agreements (partnerships, shareholders, trust arrangements), property dealings (acquisitions, leasing and disposals) and commercial dealings (service agreements, supply contacts, franchises and intellectual property dealings). I work closely with our clients taxation and financial planning consultants to facilitate the orderly implementation of business and succession plans.I have also provided advice to civil construction and quarrying clients in a number of areas including the preparation of quarry acquisition agreements, licences, service contracts and related matters. Clive has a special interest and considerable experience in marine related businesses and maritime law.I also provide advice and am involved in dealings with government and other agencies with respect to marine park permits, survey certification, liquor licensing and related matters of that nature including the resolution of disputes arising in those areas. In addition I have prepared standard contracts for vessel construction, slipping and marine services, demise charters, bareboat charters and vessel sale agreements for clients with interests in these areas.I have more recently been involved in issues relating to the relocation and compensation by the State and Port of marine business tenants consequent upon the road and rail bridge under construction over the mouth of Ross River.
