NAS lead for the Global Active Directory Simplification Program. This involved providing NAS migration solutions and managing the migration activity, for moving the CIFS hosts from 30 legacy Active Directory domains to the new AD infrastructure. The environment being migrated included 1,150 storage hosts (physical\virtual), 310,000 Home Drives and 63,000 Group Shares. The NAS estate included NetApp 7-Mode Filers\vFilers, CDOT vServers and HNAS EVSs.Achievements: Completed full discovery of all globally affected storage devices and CIFS shares. Designed, tested and documented NAS solutions for migrating NAS CIFS hosts and shares to the new Active Directory infrastructure. Designed, implemented and maintained bespoke MS Access database to collate, manage and report, on all aspects of the storage environment. Instigated and managed storage environment raw data, to be imported into the above database. Developed PowerShell scripts to reformat raw data received from individual devices and collate information from AD domains, to then be uploaded into the database. Created scripts and batch files providing, the local staff with the required commands to complete the migrations accurately, securely and in a timely manner. Built scripts \ batch processes for collecting Distribution File System (DFS) details and importing into the database for manipulation, to provide migration input files used to update DFS entries reducing the impact\risk to the business. Created migration runbooks to ensure all pre-requisites and migration tasks were completed correctly and in sequence. Managed offshore workstreams, to complete migration planning and implementation tasks.

Reported to head of EMEA Storage, transferred to newly created EMEA NAS infrastructure team and took on the Senior Technical role in 2010, managing the environment including system design, budgeting, escalations, project assignment, senior management meetings, vendor management.Received three monetary awards for exceptional performance on major projects, having designed and implemented the regional NAS solutions. In December 2004 I transferred from Morse to Citi as a full time employee, however my role within the company remained the same. Main responsibilities were to maintain the region's Microsoft Active Directory and NetApp Filer NAS infrastructure. This included business as usual (BAU), hardware installations, data migrations, OS upgrades, CoB / DR management, audit, compliance, reporting, scripting, out of hours support and associated regional projects. I remained in this role until it was decided the NetApp Filer environment had become too big to be managed in this way and required a separate team. I transferred into the new EMEA NAS Infrastructure team in November 2006.

Deployed to customer site at Citi, Canary Wharf, I joined the infrastructure team responsible for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region Microsoft Active Directory and NetApp Filer NAS infrastructure. My responsibilities included ensuring the stability of the environment, infrastructure maintenance and business as usual activities.After approximately nine months my manager requested for me to transfer to Citi as a full time employee, which completed in December 2004.
