● Delivering rapid, action-orientated, problem-solving based ‘focus sessions’ via telephone to assist school leavers aged 15-24. Helping callers understand labour market conditions, educational, occupational and other local information to enable them to make informed decisions about further education, training or work;● Referring callers to relevant support services to enable them to implement their decisions such as accessing information about the various training organisations. This may include services available in the state or territory in which the caller lives;● Recording and reporting caller outcomes, providing general information about referral services e.g. QTAC, Australian Apprenticeships Support Network

* Develop and provide career outreach and development activities to primary and secondary schools, with an emphasis on the middle years of schooling.* Provide career development activities and advice to adults from low-income backgrounds.* Liaise closely with the Widening Participation team to ensure career development activities nest with the broader Widening Participation program.* Maintain productive links with school Guidance Officers and other relevant school stakeholders; other education sectors, especially TAFE Queensland; professional bodies; and community and industry groups.* Develop career materials including web-based resources for a variety of ages, audiences and purposes in consultation with relevant stakeholders.* As part of the Widening Participation team, collaborate with internal stakeholders in faculties and divisions to ensure program coherence.* In consultation with relevant stakeholders, produce materials; coordinate events, activities and workshops; and provide advice for groups and individuals both school-age and adult, and for school staff and parents.
