Careers & Graduate Employment Officer
o Designing developing and implementing a range of career programs, career education lectures/workshops, career planning activities e.g. employability skills, work integrated learning preparation, industry skills, career management skills, graduate employment job search workshops, career planning workshopso Representing the university while working in collaboration with NAGCAS/AAGE and a variety of graduate employers o Developing and implementing strategies that promote and market the career development process to students and staff e.g. faculty collaboration agreements, faculty staff meetings, Blackboardo Contributing to the development and implementation of careers service quality standards including preparation and interview for AUQA Audit, and developing careers service (Matrix) quality standards o Actively assisting the Careers and Employment Advisory Group ensuring a cohesive approach to working with local, regional and national employers, including promoting USC’s careers and employment services to attract quality job opportunities for students and graduateso Contributing to the organisation of career and employer related events and professional development opportunities for students and staff. Liaising with university staff, student services, employer and community groups to identify student issues relating to career education e.g. developing career programs, organising employer presentations, developing and managing a careers fairo Providing career guidance and counselling service for potential students, students and USC graduates through workshops/lectures, ‘duty’, drop-in sessions and by email. Development and writing of careers literature and of promotional materials for the Careers areao Maintaining and promoting CareerHub to the university community.
