For the last five years, I’ve worked on a seasonal, part-time, or full-time basis at Harvard’s Language Resource Center. My responsibilities can be separated into two categories: assisting the director with administrative tasks and the system administrator with technical tasks.I supported the director in the following ways:• Assisting with project and event management, spanning from international conferences to campus-wide testing for language placement and proficiency.• Attending manager meetings in the director’s place when his commitments overlap.• Networking with other language center directors and staff to compare and evaluate our missions and services among our peer institutions. • Coordinating and negotiating with external vendors to evaluate and install new software and services.• Maintaining positive, helpful, and receptive relationships with the faculty and staff we serve.• Spearheading novel initiatives such as Harvard’s exploration of VR and how to create immersive environments to maximize new language acquisition.I supported the systems administrator in the following ways• Maintaining the 54 computer workstations, two reservable high-tech classrooms, and a variety of hardware and software the center provides to our users.• Ensuring all computers, tablets, and other hardware run the latest software and security applications.• Working with faculty and staff to select, install, or maintain application- or language-specific software to help faculty meet their pedagogical objectives.• Reconfiguring servers and server racks to maximize efficiency and minimize risk• Encoding HD digital media and audio for language classes.• Assisting students and faculty with software, hardware, and workstation troubleshooting both within the center and offsite in classroom and lecture halls.My above functions are an extension of my original responsibilities as a student worker during the summer and winter recesses of my undergraduate years.

Harvard routinely hosts large, international conferences to connect people and inspire innovation.One of these conferences is their Foreign Language Education And Technology conference: FLEAT VI. Hundreds of language professors from over 20 countries attended to present their latest findings in language acquisition with the aid of technology.I was hired full-time by Harvard's Language Resource Center, the department leading FLEAT, to ensure that all conference operations were accounted for and executed in a clean and efficient manner. Specifically, my daily tasks included: • Organizing and mobilizing the team of 12 Harvard undergraduate and graduate students to assist in conference matters. • Organizing and leading interdepartmental meetings to ensure that all roles are aware of their personal responsibilities and deadlines • Attracting new exhibitors and maintaining relationships with existing ones to promote their company image and build lasting relationships. • Mediating conflicts of interest that arise between competing conference entities. • Managing the 6+ figure budget to keep the department's finances in the black. • Ensuring the conference is a success by all metrics.

Epic is the leading EHR company in the US known for its innovative solutions to health care’s biggest challenges. Consistently ranking as the top EHR vendor, Epic has established its dominance in the industry because of its unfailing commitment to meet its customers’ expectations while keeping the patient’s safety at heart.As a project manager for Epic, I was responsible for overseeing the successful install of my applications and integrated areas. Job responsibilities include • Ensuring all members of the project team fulfill interim and final deadlines • Recognizing and addressing potential project risks before they escalate • Facilitating communication between Epic and customer project teams • Validating and reengineering workflows to meet the customer’s needs • Providing guidance to team analysts during the software build • Overseeing the successful training of the customer’s end-users • Transitioning system ownership from Epic to the customer throughout the course of the install • Creating extensive tchnical documentation for my build team and successor • Designing, editing, and revising training documents and projects to onboard new employees • Remaining the primary point of contact for the customer’s questions and concernsI am currently certified in Epic’s Health Information Management (HIM) and Identity applications.

As a dedicated member of the Colgate Rugby Football Club, I was an A-side starter since the beginning of freshman year despite two"career-ending" injuries. The team has progressed from a losing record freshman year to finishing the next two regular seasons with undefeated records and advancing to the top 8 in the DII National Championship. After 3 successful seasons, the team was bumped up to compete on the Division I level.

I dealt with the technical aspects for an upcoming graduate level energy technology textbook by Professor Aziz. My main responsibilities included securing copyrights, creating new images for the textbook, and editing for clarity.I was employed during summer and winter recesses from college.

I assisted the system administrator with the maintenance of all the technology (computers, projectors, iPads, etc.) in Harvard's Language Resource Center to ensure smooth functionality for all patrons of the center. I manually installed all new computers and set up their operating systems and software packages.With the oversight of the system administrator, I conducted desktop image backups and rollouts to ensure the center always had an effective reset button in case new installations caused functionality issues.My other responsibilities varied from building or moving furniture, cleaning the center, data disc deliveries, media pickups, etc.

My primary role at the University of Wollongong's Science Centre was to assist visitors on school and group excursions. My responsibilities included explaining the science behind the exhibits as well as ensuring students' safety while in the museum. During my short employment, I also performed live science shows to children aged 2 to 10.
