I love travelling and connecting with people. This year I decided to launch my own travel business and start earning a salary on doing what I love. I have been presenting seminars to young adults who are interested in travelling the world and promoting safe ways to do so. With Cloud9 With Catherine, we offer a safety net of security with how young people can apply to travel for solo tours but be reassured that they’ll be teamed up with other like minded individuals and get to experience an epic, once in a lifetime trip. It has been a truly magical job to perform and extremely rewarding. The other side of the business is the honeymoons. We attend wedding fayre’s to meet new couples and assist them with designing their honeymoon package from scratch so it takes out all of the hard work for them. The business has been a ray of sunshine in a time where the world felt quite dark and travel was extremely restricted. Launching the business in 2021 came with its challenges but it highlighted why travel is so important and why we must continue to strive towards our future trips.

My main duties were to ensure the Liverpool John Moores Drama departments theatre festival was technically ready to go ahead. My day-to-day jobs included: - Patching and focusing the lights in the theatres. - Ensuring sound equipment was fully functioning and working to a good quality. - Ensuring the students were also learning technical support roles ahead of their final assignments. - Ordering missing/ replacing broken equipment in time and ahead of the show dates. - Planning and running the technical and dress runs. Also ensuring we met our deadlines to complete all tasks, plot all lighting, run sound cues and compete at least one full run through with cast, crew and the director(s) being present. - Complete all get in and get outs for every show to a good, neat and clean standard which also met health and safety’s standard. - Being available to work from 8am-midnight daily throughout the course of the festival.
