After a couple of years working as a network programmer (doing TCP/IP, SNMP and other fun stuff), I switched to smart cards and embedded software in 2000 and never stopped since... Writing secure code ? Been there, done that. Design & architecture ? Have the T-shirt.Since 2019, I have been involved in Kudelski IoT projects and actively contributed to the design and development of several products built on custom HW providing security services to our partners.Specialties:- 11 years (still counting) on Pay TV conditional access and its plethora of security assessment, anti-piracy countermeasures and other top secret things- Strong expertise in embedded software development (C, Java Card and their secure coding practices) and architecture, particularly in high-security applications (Banking, E-commerce, Identity, Pay TV, IoT)- Very good knowledge of cryptographic protocols (and their limitations)- In-depth knowledge of smart card standards : ISO 7816, Global Platform, PKCS, EMV 2000, Java Card, IAS, USIM...- Hands-on experience on security evaluations (Mastercard, Common Criteria EAL4+) with multiple external labs (CESTI and other)- Strong background in system and network development (TCP/IP) on various flavors of UNIX (Solaris, AIX, Linux, HP-UX)- Agile methodology & tools: Product Owner or Scrum Master, VersionOne/Jira- CI/CD frameworks: Jenkins, GitLabAnd before you ask, no I'm not CISSP-certified. I learned my lessons the hard way. No multiple-choice test will change that.
