About Lynn Wilson

Since 2004 I have focused my career on improving local economies through small business development. I currently serve as IDRS’ Microenterprise Development Specialist. I have championed small businesses and entrepreneurs primarily in tribal communities across Indian Country including my own tribe where I occassionally continue to provide small business support services for Cherokee Nation CDFI & Commerce division.My work has focused on entrepreneurial training, business counseling, economic and demographic and social research related to economic development. From 2009 - 2017 I taught part-time for the School of Business and Technology at Rogers State University and currently teach part-time for the Institute of American Indian Arts. In my previous job at ONABEN, I served as the lead certification trainer for the Indianpreneurship Journey curriculum. I received my M.B.A and Professional Certification in Entrepreneurship from Cameron University and am a certified market research specialist through the National Center for Economic Gardening. I currently live in northeastern, OK on the newly re-established Cherokee Reservation where my husband (also a Cherokee citizen) operates his own business. We have two great kids.
