  Here at the Marathon Tampa Terminal my daily duties involve the the safe and stable daily operations of 10 loading lanes and over 30 product/additive/process tanks. The job requires proficiency in the use of multiple computer programs including FuelFacs+net, Excel, Word, Fuels Manager, Skype, FTMS, etc. As an operations technician some of my daily duties also include barge and ship discharges, pipeline shipments, pipeline receipts, additive meter calibrations, Accuload systems troubleshooting, fire extinguisher inspections, tank inspections, terminal inspections, product forecasting, TPRV testing, LOTO, work permitting, fuels testing; API, RVP, conductivity, flash point, workmanship, microbial analysis, gramco (ethanol content), and other various tests. Another part of the operations technician includes performing maintenance throughout the terminal to include repairing entry and exit gates, repairing/replacing product control valves in the loading bays, hose/coupler/Scully cord replacement in the lanes, rebuilding additive injection blocks, repairing leaking valves, replacing TruSeal valve actuators, replacing faulty TPRV's, and various other maintenance related tasks throughout the terminal. In addition to these tasks I design, weld, and fabricate for various in house terminal managed projects.
