My responsibilities are to help maintain the well-being of the school. Occasionally that means cleaning classrooms, offices, or apartments for the students, faculty, and staff of the school. For the most part, my duties involve painting. I have painted libraries, gyms, classrooms, offices, hallways, apartments, and dormitories. Since I am the only painter for the school I have learned hard-work, time management, and how to work on a deadline.

During this internship with the Worship Director, I learned how to put together setlists, helped lead worship, developed background tracks, and schedule band and production rotations. We organized stage sets as well as production lights. I became well immersed on the production side of worship and became fluent in ProPresenter. Eventually, I became one of the producers and I still am one today. This job taught me about scheduling and creative skills.

During this internship I shadowed the worship director. I participated in staff meetings, Sunday worship, and band practices. I prepared the music for practices as well as provided constructive criticism to better the music community at Seminole. This job helped me realize the importance of appreciation to those around you because there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes that most people don’t know about or see.

I worked as an after school childcare associate for elementary students. Our responsibilities included taking attendance, snack and/or dinner preparation, craft time, homework time, quiet time, and many other activities to entertain the children. We had to enforce problem-solving, conflict resolution, and many other character development exercises. This job taught me how to be a more patient and understanding person.

Georgetown, Texas

I was the leader of the night shift FOH. I supervised FOH customer service and closing. My responsibilities included running food, bussing tables, running the cash register, washing dishes, as well as making sure all of the cleaning necessary to close down the store. I helped make sure the preparations needed for the day shifts were ready for the morning. I learned how to manage a group of people as well as understand that details are important.
