Oversee all online course developments, coordinate faculty training, manage the online faculty community, create and maintain user guides and templates in the Canvas Commons, and advise IT partners in strategic decision-making and the evaluation of 3rd party tools. Served as project lead and communications manager during our evaluation of learning managements systems and our eventual transition to Canvas. Coordinated timelines, info sessions and training events, data collection, and assigned roles and responsibilities to core team members. Participated in revisions to the university’s Academic Integrity policy and oversaw the design and development of Academic Integrity training materials in Canvas.

Time permitting, my design and consultation company offers a wide variety of products and services - anything from custom invitations & personalized stationery to branding for small businesses. Research interests: trends in the print and graphic design industry and social media marketing strategies.

Led the team of Instructional Designers in the design, development, evaluation, and general effectiveness of all online and hybrid courses. Oversaw all quality initiatives as they pertained to distance education including faculty training and preparedness, course readiness assessments, and periodic course reviews. Managed Mercy College’s LMS (Brightspace by D2L) and maintained an up-to-date perspective on established and emerging teaching and learning technologies. Served as Technology Committee Secretary and BSMI Advisory Board Member, and sat on the “Scramble for Scholarships” committee.

Led the Office of Online Programs in the research and implementation of new marketing, recruitment, and retention strategies that would increase enrollments and improve the delivery of online student services. Acted as the lead instructional designer and project manager for new program development and worked closely with the Director of Online Programs to provide insight and leadership in the coordination, development, and implementation of new online programs.Collaborated with BGSU’s Marketing & Communications office to design, develop, and implement marketing strategies for online degree and certificate programs at BGSU. This includes setting timelines and budgets for campaigns and media buying, coordinating the design and development of all content and media, developing social media strategies to generate audience engagement, and tracking campaign analytics.Coordinated the flow of information from a marketing campaign to CRM and see to it that all leads are contacted by a recruitment specialist or program coordinator within 24hrs of form submission.Used my involvement on the university’s web/CMS team as an opportunity to gain more exposure for our online degree & certificate programs.Maintained websites and oversaw graphic design for several areas within Enrollment Management. Collaborated with faculty and subject matter experts to design and develop fully online courses in a broad range of academic fields, most notably Biology 101 for non-majors, BGSU’s first online lab course. Research interests: best practices in online pedagogy and academic technology.Evaluated and adapted existing course materials for web delivery and assisted faculty in the creation of new materials (content, activities, assignments, grading rubrics, checklists, tests, interactive media, etc).Designed, developed, and facilitated BGSU’s Online Faculty Training Program (via Blackboard) as well as several online and in-person workshops focusing on best practices in online pedagogy and emerging educational technologies.Collaborated on special projects with strategic campus partners and managed routine graphic design and maintenance for COBL website, social sites, and print materials.

Demonstrated the ANGEL learning management system, software, and hardware during new student orientation and created interactive, online learning modules for new student orientations.

Facilitated the lab sessions for VCT 103: Introduction to Visual Communications and VCT 208: Introduction to Print Design (small lectures, one-on-one student assistance, graded lab work an exams, developed troubleshooting guides and checklists).
