Assistant Director, Pre-College Student Life
- Serve in the Administrator-On-Call rotation for a campus of approximately 3000 students/athletes and manage any crisis that occurs.- Develop selection process to recruit and hire 240 seasonal staff members, including undergraduate, graduate, and professional level staff. - Draft job descriptions and establish budget for Student Life staffing needs. - Oversee the planning and execution of over 900 campus-wide activities over an 8-week summer schedule including workshops on college readiness, diversity and inclusion workshops and student organizations, and excursions to various parts of New England. - Develop safety protocols for excursion trips and large-scale campus events.- Create, administer, and analyze assessment efforts for the Pre-College Campus Life team including programming, accommodation services, and residential experience.- Plan training curriculum for 30 graduate staff members and over 200 seasonal staff members. This curriculum includes an online and in-person component supporting the development of a variety of skills needed by staff to support the Campus Life mission. - Create Leadership Development Program for seasonal staff members to receive on-going training for position and benefit from workshops on career readiness.- Manage a supply inventory valued at over $200,000 and ensure that all supply orders are processed in a timely fashion to support programming across the campus.- Serve as the Co-Chair for the Division of Pre-College and Undergraduate Studies Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan Committee and plan staff development opportunities for professional staff within the division.
