Presided over felony criminal, civil, family law and civil commitment trials; presided over sentencing hearings; presided over domestic violence, sexual assault and extreme risk protection order hearings; heard pre-trial motions, summary judgment motions and post-trial motions; presided over ex-parte motions, unlawful detainer actions; adjudicated motions for revision of commissioner orders and district/municipal court appeals; reviewed search warrant and arrest warrant applications; set bail; adjudicated habeas corpus petitions.Served on local and state court committees and task forces; engaged in community outreach and civic education activities.

Accomplishments include the designation of Seattle as a "human rights" city by the City Council; successful advocacy for a crucial piece of police reform - the authority to recruit upper management from outside the Seattle police department; successful challenge to use of solitary confinement for political protestors and the preservation of the Commission's appellate authority in employment, housing and public accommodation discrimination cases.
