I was seconded from my role as Safety Manager (Compliance Manager) to be the operational project lead to plan and deliver a safety digital transformation project for all ISO-compliant safety management systems.I collaboratively developed the project strategy with the IT Project Manager and Compliance Director and managed the development of the business case, project plan, risk management plan, schedule and resource requirements.My role involved business analysis including engaging with key stakeholders to develop as-is and to-be processes to unify HSE processes across the group and develop a robust functional scope. I worked collaboratively to define digital product requirements to integrate all safety functions in a cloud-based solution, prepare RFQ documents, assess tender responses and select the new platform.I also defined reporting and data analytics capabilities, built dashboards using PowerBI, facilitated UAT and used UAT outcomes to iteratively develop the solution.Change management was a core part of this role and I worked with communications partner to develop and implement the communications strategy for 1500+ staff and designed and delivered training to 200+ personnel.

I led two safety coordinators to deliver all safety management for an operation including port operations (LOLO/ROLO), logistics, intermodal rail, engineering, maintenance and construction.My role involved leading day-to-day safety including method statements, safety inspections, toolbox talks, safety training, incident investigations, safety audits and emergency planning processes in compliance with ISO 45001. I organised safety meetings and committee meetings; driving actions and corrective actions through to completion.A key element of this position was continuous improvement and I worked with the operations director to develop a strategic five-year plan for health and safety which included the digitisation project in which I took a lead project management role.I worked as a business analyst, project manager and change manager using Lean methodologies to deliver a range of improvements to automate and improve processes, reduce costs, drive behavioural change and operational/safety improvements.
