Preserve patient dignity and minimize discomfort while carrying out duties such as bedpan changes, diapering, emptying drainage bags and bathing.  Handles and serves clients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN); performs ADLS’s; provides direct care to the more acutely ill or post stroke clients; takes and records weights, blood pressures, temperatures, pulse and respiration and give skin care treatments, as permitted by state regulation; effective team collaboration, patient relations, chart accuracy and consistent deliverance of empathetic care.  Put clients service first; ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere, which recognizes the client’s needs and rights. Provides optimum patient care as a professional CAN within the Acute-care, Rehabilitation, Surgical, Home-Healthcare and Nursing-Home setting.  Preserves patient dignity and assuring patient’s dignity while carrying out tasks such as: Modified bed bath, personal hygiene (foot care, perineal care, catheter care, and incontinent care), mouth care, clean dentures and more.

 Assists in the safe transfer and ambulation of patients; assists in patients ADL’s.  Performs functions of the Nursing Aide position; reports and documents accurate and timely information regarding patients’ condition.  Performs delegated patient care and non-patient care tasks; implements and adheres to customer service standards; utilizes appropriate age related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of all patients.
