I love to learn, to absorb information quickly and challenge myself and my team to continually stay on the cutting edge. As General Manager for Quantum Hardware at Microsoft and a Physics Professor at UC Santa Barbara, I am fortunate to be around eager minds every day. I yearn to build an eclectic team who aspires to take a quantum leap to solve the “unsolvable” problems. Each day I remind myself how important it is to step back to figure out what’s necessary to achieve the results we need rather than do what’s convenient. Innovative thinking thrives in ongoing dialogue between and among associates – all necessary to determine the core issues and find creative solutions.
