Full time postbaccalaureate position within the Experiment Transplant and Immunology Branch of the National Cancer Institute. Followed the scientific process through experimental design to publication. Bench work operations included rodent treatment and organ extraction/processing, immunohistochemistry, and flow-based analysis. Supply management, solution preparation, and mouse oversight were handled autonomously.

I was elected Director of the Wisconsin Alpine Team at the end of my freshman year, and retained the position for three consecutive elections. The seat required that I manage the team's $75,000 budget and 64 participants as an integrated part of a large university’s athletic department.Responsibilities included team and individual registration, transportation and housing for all members throughout the season, budgeting, facilitation of weekly board meetings and all group events, fundraising, event oversight, and mitigation of any conflicts, social or logistical, that may arise. I was responsible for all transactions made by the team. I also collaborated with other collegiate teams.

Developed best lab practice and academic writing skills. Tasks required I train rodents in t-maze or signal detection tasks, perform neurosurgical sub-cranial cannula implantation, treat rodents through injections or infusions, perfuse animals, process brain tissue, and quantify results.
